Who is the community for?
Anyone building — or thinking about building — a company on Restart. Founders at every stage, from a first idea to a launched product, plus students and people who just want to watch how things get made.
Do I need a Restart account to join?
No. The Discord is open — join, look around, and ask questions before you ever start a build.
Does it cost anything?
No. The community is free, and separate from Restart build credits.
How do I find an event near me?
Use the map and list above. Search by city, name, or host, or filter by hackathon, workshop, meetup, and student event. Every listing links out to its own registration page.
Where do the listed events come from?
Some are run by Restart community members. The rest we gather from public builder calendars around the world, so the map is useful even where the community is still small. Restart does not organize or vet every event it lists.
Can I add my own event?
Yes — use “Apply here” to submit it. A person reads every submission before it appears on the map, so it won't show up instantly.
Can I get help with my specific build?
Yes. Share what you were going for and what happened instead in the help channels, and other founders and the Restart team will take a look.
I'm not technical. Will I be able to keep up?
Most Restart founders are not engineers. If you can describe your idea, you can follow every conversation in the server.
